Bnei Yehuda, with a goal from Carlos Cuéllar, beat Hapoel Be'er Sheva, champion of the last three editions of the Israeli Premier League. The final result (3-1) was the outcome of a superb performance in the second half from the home team. The score at halftime was a narrow 0-1 after a goal from Kabha in the 12th minute. In the second half, Carlos scored the equaliser. Tchibota gave the lead to Bnei in the 70 minute and Ashkenazi, in the 90 minute, rounded off the score.
After closing a very positive 2018, Cuéllar started 2019 in the best possible way. In the 55th minute, he took advantage of a set-piece action to make his first goal wearing Bnei Yehuda's shirt. The Madrid born defender played the 90 minutes and achieved his seventh victory (in 13 games) with the Tel Aviv squad, which is having one of the best moments this season.
