En todos los puestos de la defensa / Full back

Después del partido del domingo me han hecho varias veces la misma pregunta, aunque los que leeis cuellar24.com ya lo sabreis. Si, ya habia sido ‘3’ otras veces. Eso si, hacía como 12 años que no jugaba de lateral izquierdo, desde la epoca del San Federico. Creo recordar que en el Calahorra tambien jugue ahi, de hecho creo que en mi debut, por necesidades del equipo.

Sinceramente creo que cumplí con creces y no lo digo por los premios Man of the Match que me dieron los sponsors y aficionados. La verdad es que estoy contentisimo por la confianza que me estâ dando el mister, no es mi posición natural pero demuestra que confía en mí para varios puestos en defensa. Es un lugar importante en el campo y asumo la responsabilidad encantado. Me estoy consolidando en el equipo y ahora sólo falta que los resultados sean acordes a nuestros méritos.

Ante el City, en un partido complicado porque tienen esa calidad que les hacer ser líderes, no pudimos sacar un empate que buscamos y rozamos. Ellos llevaron el peso del partido y tuvieron alguna ocasión, pero desde el gol se fueron metiendo atrás y estuvimos cerca de empatar el partido. Yo mismo tuve una que se fue por poco. Estamos en una mala racha de resultados, pero realmente nos sentimos fuertes. El camino es el mostrado ante el City es el bueno: solo falta que acertemos un poco más arriba las ocasiones que tengamos y cerrar aún poco más.

En ese partido volví a ver a un striker. La primera vez iba vestido de rosa, como un teletubbi, en el campo del Sunderland pero en Villa Park el tio iba como su madre le trajo al mundo. A la gente se le va la cabeza.. No lo entiendo, la verdad, porque antes llevaban publicidad pero ahora no encuentro la razón por la que lo hacen. Y menos con este frío. Viendo la poca temperatura que hay, y al estar eliminados por desgracia de otros torneos, me dedicaré a ver partidos por la tele de aquí y europeos.

Muchos desde Valencia me preguntan por el Stoke, aunque yo veo al equipo español como el claro favorito a pasar la eliminatoria. Está claro que va a sufrir en el juego aereo, porque el Stoke saca rendimiento a cualquier saque de banda, córner o falta, da igual que sea lejana o desde el centro del campo. Son muy fuertes en eso, pienso que quizá no haya nadie en la Premier que logre tanto rendimiento a balón parado como el Stoke. Espero comentar esos partidos con vosotros en las redes sociales…

I have been asked the same question a few times after Sunday´s clash and although some of you who read cuellar24.com already know it, I must say yes!! I have played as a left back before… but it was 12 year ago! When I was playing for San Federico; I believe I played as a left back in my debut at Calahorra, team necessities. Back to Sunday’s match; I honestly think I had a decent performance not only for the Man of the Match´s award that sponsors and supporters  gave me.   
The truth is I am quite happy with the confidence the boss is giving me, it isn´t my natural position but he´s trusting in me for different positions in defence. I assume the responsibility of playing as a left back quite well. I´m becoming a regular in the line up; now it is time to improve the results. 

Against City we could not get a draw although we had our chances, but was a complicated game because of the quality of their players, that´s why they are on top; they dominated the game and had a few chances but after they scored they started to stay back and we nearly grab a point; I had a shot that was not far from the post. We are having a bad track of results but we are confident and in my opinion the way we play against City is the way to follow; we need to be more accurate though, and stay tight at the back.

I saw a striker on Sunday´s game, again. The first time I saw him was at Sunderland, wear in pink as a teletubbie but this time at Villa Park he was naked. What are they thinking? I don’t get the point of it, not in this weather; they used to show some publicity before but now?

I will expend my time watching football as it´s been really cold and we are sadly eliminated from other trophies. Some Valencia supporters have asked about Stoke and despite I think Valencia is much better they going to suffer with long balls, they take advantage of them it doesn’t matter where it  comes from, free kicks, throw-ins or corners. That is their strength. I do believe there is no team compare to Stoke doing it. We will chat about those games through social networks.
