Carlos Cuéllar pens a deal with the historic Beitar Jerusalem

Carlos Cuéllar will continue one more year in Israel. After saying goodbye last Sunday to Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona, Carlos has signed a contract for next season -with the option of an extension- with Beitar Jerusalem. The historical team of the capital, which was already interested in bringing in Carlos last winter transfer window, will have one of the best centre-backs of the competition for the 2018-19 season.

The Madrid born defender, who has surpassed the mark of 40 games in a season for the third time in his career, will play for the most popular team in Israel. Founded in 1936, Beitar has in its list of winners 6 Leagues, 7 State Cups and 2 Toto Cups. In addition, it has participated five times in the Champions League. In this course, it has played the final of the State Cup and is fighting for second place in the League with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Beitar Jerusalem plays its home games at the Teddy Stadium, a modern stadium with a capacity for more than 30,000 spectators that hosted the 2013 U-21 European final.
