Carlos Cuéllar's Kiryat Shmona secured a place in the last 8 of the Israeli Cup after edging out Hapoel Shfaram in extra time, 2-1. The clash got complicated after Nahmias red card and the goal from Najar (penalty min 35). In the second half, Abed levelled the game, 1-1, with a free kick in the min 77 and took the game to the extra time, where Ihab was also sent off.

In the 112th minute, an own goal from Chariv gave the victory to Cuéllar's team. The Madrid born centre-back was finally part of the starting XI, as in the previous days the manager had considered to give him some rest due to the minutes played by Carlos this season. However, in a qualifying round, Kiryat Shmona could not risk not to pick one of their best players.
With this win, Hapoel Ironi adds its fourth unbeaten game (three wins, one draw). On Sunday, they will try to continue with the good run against Bnei Sakhnin.
