Una motivación extra ante el Villa / Extra motivated

Carlos Cuellar golpea el esférico.

Llegó la hora de uno de los partidos más especiales para mí, de esos que tenía marcado en el calendario. Medirnos al Aston Villa supone un plus de motivación extra por mi pasado como villano, más aún tras caer en la Copa.

Ese partido nos ha hecho que nos centremos en el partido ante los de Birmingham, y es que tras la decepción de Copa los tres puntos son claves para nosotros y una compensación hacia nuestra gran afición.

Es cierto que tendré sensaciones muy especiales ante el Aston Villa, por las cuatro temporadas que pasé allí y por los amigos que tengo, pero durante los 90 minutos del juego dejaré todo aparcada para intentar ayudar a sumar una victoria que puede ser muy importante para nosotros de cara a nuestras opciones en el campeonato.

Tenemos claro todos que tenemos que estar centrados en la Premier y el momento de dar un golpe en la mesa es este. He recibido algún mensaje de ex compañeros, pero todos sabemos que los sentimentalismos hay que dejarlos a un lado por mucho que haya compartido vestuario con muchos amigos a los que tendré el sábado delante.

La cosa está clara: queremos ganar, abrir diferencia con la zona de abajo y luego, tras el pitido final, le desearé al Villa lo mejor del mundo por todo lo que significa para mí, ya que esa entidad me dio la oportunidad de conocer la Premier.

Además, tras cumplir mi centenario de partidos en la Liga ante el Stoke City con un empate, tengo muy claro que el punto hay que hacerlo bueno con un triunfo. Desde luego es el partido perfecto por todo, y mi motivación crece con el paso de las horas. Tengo ganas de que empiece ya.

Por cierto, me gustaría agradecer a todos los que me han recomendado películas y canciones para motivarme. En el próximo post ya os iré contando que film me he visto y que letra me ha motivado antes del partido. Así que seguir mandándome sugerencias y yo desde esta tribuna os iré dando mi opinión. Well, this weekend is one of the special games for me, one of those you mark on the calendar. Playing Villa means an extra motivation to me as my past as a Villan, even more after being knocked out of the Cup. So that´s why this match against the Birmingham side is important to us, the three points would be a big compensation to our supporters.

I will have very special feelings, that´s for sure. I played four years at Villa and I still have lots of friends but I will put all of it aside for 90 minutes and fight for a win, it will be very important for our options in the Premier.

We all know it is time to focus in the Premier and time to step up. I have received a few texts from my ex team mates, but it´s not the time to being sentimental and although I shared the restroom with most of the players we will face on Saturday, we want to win, try to extend the advantage from the relegation zone and after that I will wish the best for Villa for what it means to me as they gave me the chance to play the Premier League.

Besides, after celebrating my 100th appearance in the Premier against Sunderland with a tie, we have to win to make the point worthy, so I am really looking forward to the game.

By the way, I´d like to thank everyone who recommended films and music. In the next post I will tell you what movies I have seen and what song have motivated me before a game. So keep on sending suggestions and I will give my opinion back. Speak to you soon!!
