«Duelo de invictos, quien nos lo iba a decir»/Duel of unbeatens

Por fin logramos la victoria en la Liga. Se nos ha resistido, pero esos tres puntos la pasada jornada ante el Wigan nos han dado más moral si cabe, ya que aunque no conseguíamos ganar, tampoco hemos perdido. Y eso es mucho decir en una competición tan exigente como la Premier.

Sólo hay que mirar la tabla y observa que los únicos invictos son el SUNDERLAND, el líder Chelsea y el todopoderoso Manchester City, precisamente nuestro próximo rival. Imaginaros si damos la campanada en el Etihad. Lo cierto es que el equipo está francamente bien y hemos encontrado un equilibrio muy bueno en la plantilla.

Estamos siendo muy poderosos defensivamente y eso nos mantiene en una posición muy buena con un partido menos. Nos sentimos muy bien y más aún cuando se ve a la gente contenta con el equipo. Esperamos alargar la racha ante el City, algo que va a ser complicado, pero la confianza que hay nos lleva a ser optimistas para lograr un buen resultado, porque está siendo un comienzo de temporada.

Yo he estado con problemas físicos, pero espero estar recuperado para el sábado. De momento, las sensaciones son buenas y me apetece muchísimo ayudar a mis compañeros y participar del buen momento que estamos viviendo. Tengo ganas de fútbol, sobre todo si te mides a un equipo como el de Manchester, donde tienes que estar concentrado los 90 minutos. Luego viene el parón y un buen resultado el sábado nos puede llenar aún más de moral. Y es que al estar tanto tiempo sin competir por los partidos de selección, en los entrenamientos disfrutas más cuando todo va sobre ruedas. Y ahora es el momento de disfrutar y de seguir haciendo bien las cosas para que nuestros seguidores se enganchen y les alegremos el día con un poco de nuestro futbol.

And finally we won a game in the Premier League. These three points obtained against Wigan were a big boost to our morale and although we did not win previous games, neither did we lose. A lot to say being a demanding competition as the Premier league is. You only have to look at the table and the only teams unbeaten are Sunderland, Chelsea and Manchester City, our next opponent. Just imagine a victory at the Etihad… what a stir!

The team has found the balance and we are performing really well.  We are strong defensively and that helps the team to be in good position having the Reading (called off) game yet to play. We are feeling great and even more when you see the supporters happy with the team. We hope to extend the streak against City, which will be quite difficult, but now the team has confidence and we are optimistic to get a good result.

I have been injured but I hope I can make it for the game on Saturday. At the moment everything is going well and I want to help the team and take part of what we are living. I want to play and much more when you play to Manchester, where you have to be concentrated the whole 90 minutes. Then there is the break for the international matches and a good result would keep our morale even more high. Because is a long break the training sessions are more enjoyable when everything is right on track. Now is time for joy, and we will try to keep doing the things right to have the stand behind us.
