Un debut agridulce/A bittersweet debut
Por fin pude debutar ante mi afición hace unos días ante el Liverpool. Fue un día muy especial y con sensaciones encontradas y la verdad es que me sentí muy feliz ante una gente que me ha demostrado su cariño desde el primer día que llegué al Sunderland.
Digo sensaciones encontradas, porque me tuve que retirar a los 45 minutos por un problema físico. Eso sí, durante el tiempo que estuve sobre el terreno de juego ya me di cuenta de lo que vamos a disfrutar en el campo de la gente y de su apoyo. Y es que la afición del Sunderland aprieta mucho. Yo ya les conocía como rival, pero ahora que estoy defendiendo sus colores es un orgullo poder representarles en el terreno de juego e intentar hacer cosas importantes. Así que por su apoyo, no me queda otra cosa que darles las gracias por la bienvenida que me brindaron y que sepan que oí como corearon mi nombre y el de mis compañeros, algo que me emocionó.
Además, logramos un punto importante ante el Liverpool, que aunque no está en un buen momento, siempre es un rival difícil y a tener muy en cuenta. Ahora afrontamos el duelo ante el West Ham, otro equipo duro, pero en el que esperamos seguir con nuestra racha. Y es que no es nada fácil estar invictos, más aún ante los rivales que nos hemos enfrentado en sólo tres jornadas. Sí, sé que nos queda sumar también la primera victoria y esperamos lograrla en Londres. Esa es nuestra única intención y con esa ilusión vamos.
Y a los aficionados también decirles que no me olvido del sorteo de la camiseta. Así que seguir mandando dibujos a mi Facebook, que me están gustando muchos. Teneis de plazo hasta el domingo por la noche. Posteriormente elegiré al ganador. Ahhh!!!. Y a los que me insisten en la quedada para tomar café, que sepáis que ya estoy en ello y en breve tendréis noticias. La cosa está en marcha y podré veros a muchos de vosotros compartiendo una animada charla o lo que esté dentro de mis posibilidades. Lo cierto es que me apetece bastante. Ya os iré informando, mientras tanto, os mando un abrazo fuerte.

Finally I could debut in front of the Sunderland supporters against Liverpool. It was a very special day, although I had mixed feelings truth be told, i was very happy standing in front of the people who had been so kind to me since my arrival at Sunderland.
Mixed feelings, I mean, because I had to come off the pitch after 45 mins because of a minor injury. But during the time I was on the pitch I realize how much we will enjoy playing at home with the entire stand cheering us up. I knew them as a rival, but now we are in the same side, it is an honour to represent them on the pitch and try to achieve important things. Because of their support I would like to thank every supporter, let them know I heard the stand clamour my name and the names of rest of the team, very moving.
Besides, we obtain an important point against Liverpool, despite they are not in their finest moment, it is always a taught opponent. This week we face West Ham, also difficult, but we will try to maintain our good streak. It is no easy to still unbeaten after playing important rivals as we have done in these three games of the league but we also know we need to win too and I hope we can take the three points from London. That is our goal.
Just a quick word to the supporters: I have not forgotten the raffle of the T-shirt. Keep on sending cartoons to my Facebook, I´m enjoying them. The closing date is Sunday night this week. I´ll choose the winner later. And for the ones insisting to meet up for a coffee, let them know I´m on it, and there will be news very soon. I do not know yet how long would it be or how many of you will be there but I do really feel like it. I´ll keep you up to date. Kind regards.
