Deseo, en primer lugar, pedir disculpas por no poder despedirme como a todos nos hubiese gustado en nuestro estadio, pero lo vivido el domingo fue espectacular. Ha sido una despedida muy emotiva, ese King Carlos Day me ha llegado al corazón. Ha sido mucho más de lo que había esperado. Quiero agradecer a la afición del Villa, a esa que estuvo en Carrow Road y a la que no pudo venir, todo su apoyo desde que llegué aquí.Sólo me llevo buenos recuerdos, lo que he vivido ha sido espectacular. Emocionalmente es importante sentirse respaldado por la grada. Los aficionados villanos son mágicos, he tenido sensaciones inolvidables en Villa Park, y sobre todo en muchos encuentros lejos de casa. Ha sido como jugar siempre de local. Les he sentido siempre cerca, especialmente en estas jornadas finales. Siempre han estado ahí en las situaciones complicadas.

Deseo extender este agradecimiento y cariño a técnicos y empleados de Aston Villa. Quiero agradecer que se apostara por mí y el trato que he recibido en estos cuatros años por todo el mundo del club. Y mi recuerdo especial para mis compañeros de ese vestuario entrañable al que llegué siendo un extraño y del que me marcho llevándome un pedazo de cada uno de ellos. Me voy siendo mejor persona y con una buena lista de amigos en estos cuatro años.
Muchas gracias por todo y nunca olvidaré al Aston villa y Birmingham. Siempre seré un aficionado villano. Esté donde esté.

First of all I´d like to apologise for not to be able to say good bye in our stadium as we all would have liked, but what happened on Sunday was very moving that “King Carlos Day” really touched me, more than I expected. I want to thank all the supporters, the ones at Carrow Road and also to the ones that couldn’t´t make it to the game; for all the support I have received from the beginning. I only have good memories, what I have lived has been spectacular. From an emotional point of view to feel the support from the stand is very important, in this case the Villa supporters always have been phenomenal at home and even more away from home. And they always have been there backing us in difficult moments, especially these last few games.
I´d like to extend my thanks and love to all the employees and coaching staff at the club. Thanks for the confidence put on me and for the way I have been treated these four years. A special mention for all my team mates in the changing room where I arrived as a stranger, and I am leaving taking a piece of each of them with me; I think I am leaving being a better person and with lots of friend.
Thank you so much for everything I will never forget Birmingham or Aston Villa. Wherever I am, I will always be a Villa supporter.

Hey Carlos if you havent agreed to sign for another club then why not contact the new manager of Aston Villa and see if he wants you to stay…. forget the Carlos Cuellar day thered be an even better one and that’d be a welcome back Carlos day… your a villa legend and we’d love you to stop….

Thank you for all you’ve ever done at Villa these past few years. You’ve gave it your all, and battled on the pitch, where as off it, you’ve been one of the nicest guys ever. We’ve all took to you, and it’s shown this past week how much we love you, with the respect sent your way via twitter, as well as the “King Carlos Day”. You will always be one of us, and you’ll be missed. Hope to see you back at Villa Park in some capacity.

Te deseo toda la suerte del mundo y si alguna vez vienes por Huelva, estaría encantado de acompañarte por alguno de los muchos lugares que merece la pena visitar.
