Webb, la traducción y una lesión inoportuna / An unexpected injury, Webb and mistaken translation

Quería ponerme a escribir para contaros cosas buenas. Al salir del once, me entró pereza y el sábado pensé: el martes lo hago. Al final os escribo desde mi casa de Birmingham con el ánimo algo jodidillo. Después de haber entrado en el equipo, y en mi posición natural de central diestro, he tenido algo de mala suerte. En una jugada fortuita, de esas que no parece que te vas a poner lesionar, me deja fuera. Y para tres o cuatro semanas.

Aluciné cuando al rato de terminar el partido me empezaron a decir por el twitter que me había lesionado el colegiado. Todo viene al parecer por una mala traducción de la crónica que hay en la web del Aston Villa.  Ahí pone que tras mi lesión Howard webb me ayuda a salir del campo. A lo mejor el que lo tradujo pudo pensar que era el árbitro el que me hacía salir o me sacaba del campo…

Es una jugada en la que va a recibir su delantero Campbell un balón; yo me anticipo y despejo pero cuando ve voy a levantar, después de que hubiese sido una jugada normal, noto un dolor. Intenté arrancar para volver a correr pero lo notaba atrás. No pude seguir y pedí el cambio. Quizá se deba a la falta de continuidad, el cuerpo quizá lo achacha. Jugué tres o cuatro partidos, dejé de hacerlo y ahora había vuelto. Me parece que hay gente en España que le tiene ganas a este árbitro por lo del mundial, pero pobre, no tuvo nada que ver en lo mío. En pleno bus ya puse en esta web y en mi twitter que no era su culpa, para que no creciera la bola…

Al final, con la lesión y las pruebas, no he podido ir a hacer una visita a España. Me he quedado aquí en Inglaterra, donde está todo el mundo como loco con la eliminatoria de Champions entre Barcelona y Arsenal. La duda es si se verá tan buen partido en el Emirates como el del año pasado, cuando el Barça se compró el balón… aunque al final se dejó empatar Pienso que, aunque vengan de un empate en Liga en Gijón donde Guardiola se reservó titulares, el Barça es muy favorito. Ellos tienen mucha ilusión en la Champions y también saben del momento de juego del Arsenal, con Cesc y Van Persie sobre todo.

No será una exbición como la de hace un año, pero será un gran partido: con posesión de balón y mucho ritmo, de esos de ida y vuelta. La clave será ver cómo funciona la defensa del Arsenal. Lo cierto, es que Wenger no ha terminado de encontrar una línea de cuatro fija y se han llevado muchas críticas. Ante el Barça es vital defender bien, pienso que sufrirán mucho. Luego, está claro que Cesc es el protagonista, ya que cuando juega contra los españoles siempre salen rumores de su posible vuelta. Está acostumbrado, no creo que le afecte.

Ya os contaré novedades. Espero que cuando vuelva hayamos pasado ronda copera, ya que en marzo sólo hay dos jornadas de Premier. Es tiempo de FA Cup. 

PD: Quiero mandar mucho ánimo a mis amigos y a la afición de Osasuna. Esperemos que Mendilibar tenga la suerte que no tuvo Camacho para seguir en Primera.

I wanted to write you guys to tell you about good things but I wasn’t bother after I left the pitch injured and I thought I´ll do it on Tuesday, so here I am writing from home a little bit low. After coming back to the squad and playing as a centre back I had some bad luck. In a normal tackle, the one you think you will never get injured, leaves me out for up to three or four weeks.
I freaked out a few minutes after the end of the game when I saw through twitter that the ref injured me!!… Apparently was a wrong translation on the AVFC’s web, it was written that Webb helped me going out the pitch, probably the translator got it wrong and thought Webb was showing me the way out. It was a challenge where Campbell was about to recieve the ball; I got it first and cleared it but I felt a pull when I tried to stand up and get back to my position and I couldn´t keep going so I asked for the change.
I think many people in Spain doesn’t like Webb, I guess since the World Cup but he had nothing to do with what happened to me. When I was in the bus I wrote on Twitter and my web he didn’t do anything, to stop the rumours…
I couldn’t visit Spain because of the injury and the treatment so I’m staying in England where everyone is mad ahead of the clash between Arsenal and Barça. The only doubt is if we will see a good game as the one last year where we saw an interesting one all draw. I think barça is the favourite in this round despite the result obtained last weekend at Gijón where Guardiola changed the team thinking of this match. They want to win the Champions but they also are aware of Arsenal specially Cesc and Van Persie.
It won’t be an exhibition as last year but it will be a great game, ball possession and good pace in both attacking and defending. The key could be in the way Wenger works out the problems in defence having so many critics in the past few games and it is really important against a team like Barça. And of course Cesc is the starring player as every time he plays against a Spanish team there´s too much talk about his return to La Liga. He’s used to it though  
I’ll tell you some news, hopefully when we pass the Cup round, it is FA Cup time as we only have two league games in March
PS: I´d like to send my support to my friends and supporters at Osasuna. I hope Mendilibar has more luck than Camacho and save the team and keep the place in La Liga this year.
