Llegó mi partido cien oficial con el Aston Villa. Se hizo de rogar, pero no será uno de los que recuerde cuando, espero que dentro de muchos años, me haya retirado. Desgraciadamente se volvió a repetir lo de la temporada pasada contra el Rapid de Viena. Se fueron las esperanzas de jugar la UEFA otra vez. Fue una segunda parte mala, que dejó malas sensaciones a todos. El vestuario estaba fastidiado. Normal, fue un palo gordo para todos los villanos…

Al menos, pudimos superar la mala racha que traíamos desde el partido con el Newcastle el domingo ante el Everton con un gol de Luke Young. Nos vamos al parón con seis puntos. Es importante el triunfo, más en el aspecto moral que por ponernos cuartos. Espero que volvamos en la cuarta jornada con otro triunfo. Eso es lo que deseo contaros, las anécdotas de muchos triunfos.

Me habían pedido mis amigos de Imagosport que hiciera un recuerdo de esos partidos, de los mejores. Seguro que algunos tienen en mente la final de la Carling Cup por lo emocionante, o algún partido de esos en los que tapas a un buen delantero pero me quedo con tres: El primero, el de mi debut en Liga. Fue un derbi contra el West Bromwich Albion, que ganamos 1-2 tres días después de que debutara en UEFA contra los búlgaros del Litex Lovech. Salí a mantener el triunfo.
El segundo, ante el Manchester United en Villa Park este mes de febrero. Marqué un gol, tras rozarlo varias veces por delante, y se lo dediqué a varios amigos que había en la grada. La pena es que luego nos empataron…
El tercero, un triunfo en Villa Park la pasada campaña ante el Chelsea. Ellos llegaban líderes, se pusieron por delante y ganamos 2-1 con un gol decisivo de James Collins tras el empate de Dunne. Y hasta hubo cambio de árbitro…

Esa es mi particular selección, prefiero quedarme con momentos buenos que otros partidos quizá más importantes. Esta afición se merecía alegrías. Ojalá pueda ayudar a conseguir muchas con esta camiseta…

My official 100th match arrived with Aston Villa. This match will not be one of those that I’ll remember when, I hope in many years, I have retired. Unfortunately, happened the same against Rapid Vienna than last season. Out again. A bad second half, which left bad feelings to all villains. The team was annoyed. A big stick for all the villains. I had asked by my friends of Imagosport to do a memory of these 100 matches. The best moments. Surely, someone have in mind the final of the Carling Cup, so exciting, or any match of those in which caps a good striker, but I choose three: The first one, my debut in the Premier league. It was a derby against West Bromwich Albion, which won 1-2, and three days after I debuted in UEFA against Litex Lovech of Bulgaria. The second, against Manchester United at Villa Park last February. I scored a goal, and dedicated it to several friends who were in the stands. The trouble is that after they tied.

The third, a win at Villa Park last season against Chelsea. They came leaders, but we won 2-1 with a decisive goal after James Collins Dunne tie. There was a change of referee too. That is my particular choice, I prefer look good memories than other parties perhaps more important. The fans deserved happiness. Hopefully I can help get many victories with this shirt.
