Con ganas de jugar el partido 100 como villano / My 100th official match with Aston Villa

Parecía que no iba a llegar, pero estoy cerca de lograrlo. Desde que acabó la Liga y unos amigos me comentaron que había sumado 99 encuentros oficiales estaba con ganas de que llegara un partido de los de verdad esta campaña. Se ha hecho de rogar un poco. La lesión en Portugal me dejó frío y me ha impedido poder estar en estos tres primeros partidos, los dos de Liga y el de UEFA en Viena. Se sufre viendo a los compañeros desde fuera y más raro aún por la tele. Ahora ya estoy bien, fuerte y con ganas. El lunes jugué un partidillo y me encontré bien, sin problemas.

Por eso tengo muchas ganas de que llegue el partido y ojalá el míster me conceda minutos. Tengo ganas de jugar, ganar y meter al equipo en la fase de grupos de la UEFA. No porque el Rapid nos dejara fuera hace un año, sino porque además nos servirá para coger confianza y hacer olvidar a la afición lo sucedido en Saint James Park. Un resultado así se olvida con un triunfo, y además este tiene premio. Espero que sea un día feliz, que sirva para que la grada pueda seguir teniendo la oportunidad de soñar entre semana con partidos europeos.

Para mí seguir en la UEFA, con la que ya os he contado otras veces que tengo un vínculo especial, sería un buen regalo de cumpleaños. Quería agradeceros las felicitaciones del pasado lunes por mis 29 años y de paso el apoyo cuando he estado lesionado. Espero poder seguir disfrutando como villano muchos partidos más. Que vosotros lo podais ver (en España me dicen que se ve por GolT) y yo os siga contando mis batallitas…

It seemed that my 100th match with Aston Villa would never come. I’m close to doing. Since the end of the league some friends told me that he had played 99 official matches. I was looking forward to a game this season. I had to wait a bit. Portugal’s injury stopped me. The injury has prevented me to be in these three first games, both League and UEFA in Vienna. I suffer seeing colleagues from outside. Now I am well, strong. I played a little game on Monday. Without problems.

I have looking forward to the match against Rapid. Hopefully the boss will give me a few minutes. I want play, win and put the team in the group stage of UEFA. Not because the Rapid let us out a year ago. That it’s true but I think the victory will serve to build more confidence. So we can make the fans forget what happened in Saint James Park. Normally is forgotten with a win, and furthermore, this against Rapid has a rewards: stay in Europe. I’t’s a opportunity to dream with European games.

For me continue in UEFA –I have already told you other times that I have a special relationship with this tournament-, would be a good birthday. I want to thank you for the congratulations last Monday (for my 29 years). I am also grateful for the support when I’ve been injured. I look forward to enjoying many more games as a villain and I will continue tell you my ‘little battles’ like villain…
