Listo para jugar un partido oficial ya en esta etapa / Ready to play an official game in this new stage

Lo primero quiero deciros a todos, que sois muchos los que os habeis interesado a través de las redes sociales, que ya estoy mejor.  Me encuentro bien, porque llevo todos los días de esta semana trabajando con el grupo. Ya estoy al mismo ritmo que los demás y ha tenido mucha importancia en ello mi fisio, y amigo, José Vilariño. Estuvo la semana pasada varios días aquí y pudimos acortar los plazos de recuperación. Le agradezco mucho que venga desde Pamplona, es una pena que no viva más cerquita…

Espero estar este fin de semana en Newcastle para intentar lograr el segundo triunfo de la temporada, después de empezar la campaña por 3-0 ante el West Ham. La temporada, después de la sorpresa que supuso el adiós de Martin O’ Neill para todos, ha empezado con buenos resultados. Ganar el primer día y empatar a domicilio en Viena es una buena noticia. Espero que podamos vengarnos de la última eliminación, ya que fue el propio Rapid el que nos dejó sin Europa hace un año.  No he podido estar allí y espero que hagamos bueno el gol de Bannan.

Muchos me preguntan por el cambio de míster. Suenan muchos nombres pero yo creo que se quedará Kevin Mac Donald. Lo conocíamos de algún entrenamiento ya que era el entrenador de la casa, y ha coincidido con algún compañero. Su idea de fútbol la conocíamos. La adaptación por tanto ha sido fácil. Los entrenamientos son intensos, fuertes, divertidos y con mucho balón. Al equipo se le ve agusto y contento con él.

Espero poder contaros en el próximo texto que seguimos invictos. Ojalá sea así y podamos ir tomando sitio entre los puestos altos de la tabla. Por último quiero desear mucha suerte a James Milner en su nueva etapa y también a Stephen Ireland. Es un gran jugador y espero que pueda demostrar aquí con el Aston Villa.

First of all, I’d like to say to everyone who was interested in me through the social networks that I’m better. I am fine I have trained with the group every day of the week. I’m fit as the rest of my team mates and the responsible for this is my physio and friend Jose Vilarino. He was here few days last week trying to shorten the recovery. I have to thank so much Jose for coming from Pamplona, such a pity he doesn’t live nearer…

I hope to be ready for this weekend in Newcastle playing for the second victory this season, after beating West Ham 3-0 on the debut match. The season, after the shocking departure of Martin O’Neill, has started with good results. Winning the first game and an away draw in Vienna is a good start. I hope we could take revenge from the last elimination, which was Rapid the one who knocked us out Europe a year ago. I couldn’t be there but I hope we can take advantage from Bannan goal.

There are many people asking me about the change on the bench. There are so many names on the table but I think that Kevin Mac Donald would be the one staying. We knew him from a few training sessions because he was a Villa’s man. We knew his football ideas. Getting on with him was very easy. The sessions are intense, thight, fun and using the ball a lot. The team seems happy and confident with him.

 I expect to tell you all that we still unbeaten. I wish it and so we could get in the top positions on the table. Finally I’d like to wish the best of luck to James Milner in his new adventure and also to Stephen Ireland. He’s a great player and I hope he does his best here at Villa’s.
