A un paso del Mundial se rompen los sueños / Broken dreams just before World Cup

Ya sólo quedan unos días para que empiece el Mundial. Escribo después de que mucha gente se preocupara al ver a Iniesta irse al banquillo antes del descanso. Había miedo de que alguien se lesionara contra Polonia. Normal. Viendo lo que les ha pasado a los del Chelsea…

Parece que no es nada lo de Iniesta. Mejor. No me imagino lo que tiene que ser quedarte a un paso, a unos días de un sueño así. Yo, tras tantos meses de apoyo de la gente en el facebook, me quedé un poco triste el día de la lista de 30, aunque ya me lo esperaba. A mis compañeros Young y Downing les pasó peor, ya que estaban en muchas de las quinielas. Eso sí, creo que ya estar dentro de un grupo, selecccionado y caerte tiene que ser muy jodido. Pensé en ello el otro día, cuando Ferdinand se tuvo que marchar por lo de la rodilla unas horas después de la lesión de Drogba. Y es que los del Chelsea parecen gafados.
Primero fue Ballack, en la final de la FA Cup ante el Porstmouth que habían logrado al ganarnos a nosotros en Wembley en semifinales. Se llevó una patada y adiós. Una baja fuerte para Alemania. Por un problema rodilla se quedó fuera Essien, que ya empezó con problemas en la Copa de África, y Obi Mikel con Nigeria. Ellos también eran los líderes de sus selecciones. Por eso cuando al principio se dijo que Drogba se quedaba sin Mundial me dio pena por los africanos. Es su Mundial y muchos de sus mejores jugadores no estarán. Bueno, tendrán a Etoo en Camerún, con quién compartirá delantera mi amigo Webó. Habrá que ver si al final Drogba se recupera de la operación y puede jugar con alguna protección en el brazo. Está en el grupo de Brasil con Portugal y Corea. Y es que podría ser rival de España en octavos.

Al menos ayer vimos en Murcia que tanto Torres como Cesc están bien. Y marcaron y todo. Habrá que ver si juegan el primer día ante Suiza. Lo mismo sueñan los ingleses con Rooney, que juegue el sábado ante EEUU y vuelva marcando… Antes de eso, creo que haré un chat el viernes 11 a las 13 horas en Vocento. Hasta entonces.

There’re just a few days left for the start of the World Cup. I am writing after many people got worried when Iniesta was on his way to the bench just before the half time. There were some fears that someone could get injured during the match, which is normal seeing what happened to some Chelsea players…

It seems that Iniesta’s injury is nothing serious, Good. I can not figure out what it would be being so close to a dream and missed it. After so many months supporting me on Facebook, I was a bit sad the day of the 30 players list was given although I knew it somehow. It was worst for my team-mates Young and Downig as they were in most of the pools. However, I think being inside a group of players, already selected and then leave because of an injury has to be harsh. I was thinking about it the other day when Ferdinand left because of a knee injury just a few hours after Drogba got injured too. And the truth is Chelsea looks jinxed.

The first one was Ballack, in the FA Cup Final against Portsmouth, team that beat us in the semi-finals at Wembley’s. He got a bad tackle and that was it, important loss for Germany though. Essien was out too with a knee injury, the same he suffered during the Africa’s Cup, and also Obi Mikel is out of Nigeria’s side. They all were leaders in their national teams. At the beginning when I heard Drogba was out of the WC, I felt pity for the Africans, it is their World Cup and there are so many African players that won’t be there. Well, they (Africans) would have Eto’o playing up front for Cameroon alongside with my friend Webo. We will see if Drogba can recover well from the surgery and play with some kind of protection for the arm. He is in the same group as Brasil, Portugal and Korea. They could be our opponents in the first knockout stage.

At least we saw yesterday, in Murcia, that both Torres and Fabregas are in form, they even scored. We will see if they play on the spanish debut against Switzerland. The same are hoping the English people with Rooney, see if he is fit for the game against US and wishing him a scoring return… But before that, I will be holding a chat on Friday between 12 (a.m.) and 13 (p.m.) in Vocento’s website.
