Before beginning this new adventure with Elche CF, Carlos Cuéllar shared an emotional message of thanks to Real Murcia Imperial, the team he led for two memorable seasons — guiding them to a playoff final and building a strong team identity.
“Today I close a very special chapter. It’s not easy to say goodbye to a group you’ve given so much to, but I do so with my head held high, my heart full, and my conscience at peace,” he wrote on social media.
“We grew together, we fought for every ball, and we reached a playoff final that brought us close to the goal. But beyond results, what remains is the pride of having built something solid, with identity, character, and respect for the badge.”
Cuéllar also expressed his gratitude to the club’s management, coaching staff, players, and a loyal fanbase that stood by them every step of the way:
“Football moves on, life moves on — but a part of me will always be Murcianista. I’m leaving, but a part of me stays. Because when you truly feel the colors, you don’t need to be there to keep pushing from within.”
