A gift that gives me life

Hi. I am writing to you with the excitement that gives being the Cup winners, a title we achieved a week ago. At this point in my career, to be able to play a final and win it is a real luxury, a gift that gives me life and makes me very happy.

I´m especially happy to win it with a club like Bnei Yehuda. We are a modest team from one of Tel Aviv´s neighbourhoods and the hard work and the excellent atmosphere that has been generated in the team since the beginning has taken us to this title and to fight for fourth place in the final day of the League. I will always have the Cup final as one of the best memories of my career. In a spectacular state like Haifa, with more than 30,000 people in the stands, Maccabi Netanya scored a great goal early in the game, but we did not lose faith and we fought until we made the equaliser in the last minutes. In the end, the penalties gave us the title and qualification for the Europa League.

I enjoyed it very much, really, because I was convinced that we were going to win. I had very good feelings and that is something that I take with me forever.

The perfect week was extended to Monday, with Osasuna´s promotion to LaLiga. The team’s season, especially at El Sadar, has been spectacular and now they have to work to confirm that Osasuna is a “Primera” team, that’s their category.

The same can be said about Aston Villa. After going through the first round for promotion, it’s all or nothing for my “villains” that play at Wembley against Derby, which has beaten Leeds. A great match that next Monday I will follow on TV like a fan. I hope I can celebrate another promotion this season!

I am also happy for the good reception that the Million Dollar Vegan campaign has had in recent weeks, in which many people joined us, thinking that it is necessary to change our diet to change the planet. As you may know, the initiative has donated $ 100,000 to the humanitarian and vegan organization Chilis on Wheels to help the survivors of Hurricane Maria. The idea was that Pope Francis would bet on a plant-based diet during Lent, it would have been a very influential gesture.

Respecting everyone´s opinion, I follow this type of diet because I am convinced that it is the best for the planet and because I feel good since I started doing it, four years ago. My experience tells me that you can live without sacrificing animals. I think that I am still playing thanks to that change in the diet that is a key part of, for example, I can continue playing at a professional level.

Well, this is it. Hopefully, we can close the season with one last victory.
