The passing of Walter Smith, a Rangers legend, was a shock to the historic Glasgow club. In one of his two stages as coach of the entity, Walter directed Carlos Cuéllar (in the 2007/08 season). An unforgettable campaign, with two titles (plus a runner-up in the UEFA Cup) and individual recognition for the great performance offered in Scottish football.
I’m stunned by this news. So sorry for your loss, gaffer, it was a privilege to have been trained by you Walter. RIP https://t.co/8apr8uOoHJ pic.twitter.com/KPOpEAfw5h

After Smith's death, Carlos shared several photos with his former coach on social media. Two days later, he posted a message in a similar way. A few words of thanks for "one of the best seasons of my life."
