A stunning goal from Ashkenazi, in minute 77, gave Cuéllar´s Bnei Yehuda the qualification to the final of the State of Israel Cup. The Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem hosted a very exciting match against Maccabi Tel Aviv, the dominant team of national football. The 1-0 with which the match concluded is the first defeat for Maccabi in local competition this season.
Champions of the Toto Cup and the Premier League (with 22 victories and 6 draws in 28 clashes), Maccabi took the initiative of the semifinal, but Bnei Yehuda stayed put in defense - led by a great Carlos Cuéllar, who starred in some crucial action- and also had opportunities to score before the final goal.

Yehuda's rival in the decisive match (15 May) will be Maccabi Netanya, who beat Hapoel Hadera in the other semifinal (also 1-0). It will be the second Cup final that Bnei disputes in three years (they were champions in 2017).
The next appointment for Yehuda will be on Saturday. A return to the League, where they will visit Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
