Carlos Cuellar suffers a hamstring injury in his left leg, after the medical tests he went through yesterday. The defender, left the pitch on Sunday after felling some pain in his leg and he is starting a 10 days recovery process but he is confident and believes he could be fit before that time. His target, unless that means to put his leg at risk, is to get back under Martin O´Neill command for the debut against West Ham at home.
There was some fear at the beginning because the injury could have taken Cuellar out for longer, 2 or 3 weeks, but the injury is not that severe and the player celebrate it “ The truth is I feel good and I hope to be back soon. I’d like to be back for the debut, I worked hard for it”. But this time he will miss the match this Thursday against Valencia, his Fellows country; it is something that doesn’t bother him.
