Maccabi Petah Tikva lost in their visit to Sammy Ofer. Hapoel Haifa won 2-1 to Cuéllar´s team. Maccabi took the lead in the first half but the local team overcame the result and knew how to maintain the difference. Maccabi tried to score goal to the end and deserved better luck.
Carlos started in the centre of the defense and played the full match. The defeat, the second in the Israeli Premier League, is a setback for Maccabi after a great start to the season, that has taken them to hobnob with the best teams in the country.
