Norwich couldn't achieve anything higher than a draw in Portman Road in their first match of the promotion playoff to get to the Premier League. The playoff remains open until next Saturday. Without Carlos Cuellar, the most thrilling moment happened on the last part of the first half, when Johny Howson got the visitors ahead. Everything seem perfect for Alex Neil's team with that phsychological goal, but before half time Paul Anderson scored the equalizer leaving the second half to decide.
On the resumption, Norwich tried everything they could but they couldn't create many occasions to incline the balance to their favour and trusted in what might happen in Carrow Road, against a rival that grew every minute thanks to their crowd and game, a team that defended well. Without many attempts from neither team, it is now time to wait for next Saturday to see what team deserves to go to Wembley.
